Greg's Body Shop / Joliet, IL

 

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Greg's Body Shop wanted an identity to reflect their sense of design and artistry, and to project an image of quality, professionalism and service.  I created a symbol that evokes memories of classic, early automotive emblems, while also appearing fresh and contemporary.  The stationery system was designed using premium paper and metallic red ink.  The logo is applied to employee t-shirts, jackets and caps, a variety of promotional items, building and vehicle signage.  Every vehicle that leaves the shop has a Greg's logo sticker applied to the bumper, as their signature of quality.

 

The Greg's Body Shop corporate identity received an award from Mohawk Paper Mills, and has been featured in Identity Magazine and Graphic Design:USA magazine.  The Greg's Body Shop identity was also showcased in Retail Image and Graphic Identity, an internationally distributed hard-bound book featuring the world's best retail identities.  Most recently, the Greg's identity received an award from American Corporate Identity, an annual competition that recognizes the best in corporate identity.
